Default Echlin Brand VCT Solenoid?

Does anyone have any insight on the Echlin Brand VCT Solenoids? I can get them through NAPA under my work contract for $50 each.

The NAPA guy says they are their top of the line brand. I was gonna go ahead and get a set but figured I'd check with you guys first hoping someone would be familiar with or have some advice about the brand and whether I should make the purchase or not.

Thanks in advance!

I'd just spend the 10 bucks more and get OEM

They’re made by Standard Motor Products and make great electronic parts. Same company that’s made Blue Streak, 4 Seasons, etc. I wouldn’t have any worries using an Echlin part. I’ve done so for years.

Use ONLY motorcraft for the solenoids, this is probably the most critical part in the whole VCT system. Motorcraft is on the 4th revision, at least. How updated are the Echlin ones?

I just got OEM ones for my truck for $26 and change each from the dealer. 50 bucks doesn't sound like a deal to me unless they are guaranteed for 100K miles.
