EATC Self Test Mode?

Yes you can enter the diagnostic as I did it on mine last month. There's a step you missed as listed in the service manual before pressing the buttons:

The self-test can be initiated after cycling the ignition switch from OFF to ON. Normal operation of the
climate control system stops when the self-test is activated.


Assuming you need to do this step so you don't accidentally enter the self test mode under normal operations.

I got it to run self test. No codes. It is as stated, off+defrost.

I think you can also do this in Forscan.

So the desktop/laptop version is free but the ForScan lite app costs $4.61???? Why would there be a charge for a lite version but not for the full version lol? Well I guess I just need a reason to get it now.

Because most people will be using their phone to run it since most people don't have a computer out in their garage.
