Great idea back in the day, but these new belts will last 50 to 60K miles or more depending on guality purchased, and you can no longer over/under tighten them, as we have belt tensioner pulleys now.

darn near full proof. Even for a cave mane.

Just for the record. Believe it or not, in this day and age some XLs come without ac.

Unless the old one was absolutely past being used, I keep the one I take off and stick it behind or under the seat just in case. If the new one decides to snap, I'll at least have the other to limp home with.
