Default Drivers Window Squeaks

My Drivers Side Window squeaks when I roll it up or down. My Switch is also goin out I have to push real hard to get it to roll up. So i purchased a new switch. The truck has 75000 miles on it so I am only going to assume that the switch is wear and tear, but I am still wondering how to get the window to stop squeaking. I dont want to just rip my door panel off and start poking around if someone can help me narrow down the problem. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Take the panel off and the moulding piece ontop of the door also. Look down in there and you will see cables running through a series of pulleys. The pulleys are squeaking. I used regular old grease and greased every pulley but found out later that silicon spray or white lithium in a spray can would have been easier.

Manual windows still work with cable's and pulley's just not as many. Grease those fuggers up and NO MORE SQUEAK. Mine took a day to stop squeaking. It wasn't instant.

my rear passenger side window was squeaking and I took it to the stealership/dealership and they said it was the regulator...ended up costing me a hundred dollars with the extended warranty coverage.....

my driver's side was squeakin forever until the regulator finally went out. it sux cuz they dont sell the regulator assembly separate from the window motor, or at least down here they dont, and its a dealer item. i just got a connection at the local dealership and he taught me how to put it on myself. its actually pretty easy. im hearin the passenger side squeel now, so i may be dropping another 100 bucks pretty soon

If you have 76K and haven't yet replaced your regulator assembly consider yourself lucky. It's squeaking because its about to go. Make sure you keep a roll of duct tape in your truck because when it goes the window will fall into the door and if you can catch it before it goes down you can tape it and make it home dry in case it rains.
