I just completed the rewire using a butt connector and everything works now. The oem connector was jam packed with green corrosion. The only bug left to figure out now is why the driver side heated seat still doesn't work. If anyone can help please speak up, thanks

This is awesome info. I have been frustrated with the same issue for a while now. I will be splicing first thing tomorrow.
Thanks a bunch!

I have a 2004 F150. power mirrors work fine, manual seats, but the power adjustable
pedals don't work. Any thoughts? I will check wiring you suggest though.

My 04 did the same thing and it was the poor factory splice abbot 8" away from the pass fuse panel by the passenger sill plate. Orange wire, it looked fine visually but when i took the black tape **** off ford used it was full of green corrosion. Just make sure to use quality shrink wrap on it so it fixes the problem for good.

I followed the orange wire with the green stripe. It has tape around a splice. It was green inside from corrosion. 3 inches of 18ga wire and some new connections the problem was fixed in 20 minutes. I wish I could find the original thread to thank the guy. I am new to the site.

My driver seat moves up and down but not forward/backward.

The orange with light green stripe isn't spliced anywhere and doesn't come out of the fuse box.

I have a 2004 Fx4

Here is what the wire looks like. No splice anywhere.
