Automatic Headlights cause chime with door open
I have a 2006 Ford F-150 crew cab. I tend to leave the headlight switch in the automatic position. When it is dark and the lights have come on, if the keys are removed and the door is open, the chime sounds. The only way to stop the chime is shut the door or turn the lights off manually. Any ideas on what needs to be checked or replaced? This happened a few years ago, but just stopped as quickly as it started.
