Man I look at it this way. If its something you plan to have for years to come, what'$ a couple hundred extra bucks gonna do. If you can't swing the cash right now, save until you can get the one you really want.

X2!! I think you can pick up the X930 at Best Buy now for around $499 as the X940 just came out.

I got a Pyle double din for real cheap, $50, from eBay. My stereo on my Xterra broke so I wanted something to replace it and didn't care to spend a lot because I knew I was selling the car soon. Anyhow, to my surprise the stereo was actually pretty good. Had good sound and it played DVD movies, the picture was not bad at all. Also, the bluetooth worked great.

The thing that I did not like was that it took a few seconds to boot up when you turned on the ignition, and it took about 10 seconds to switch function such as going from radio to DVD to CD to ipod. The display was cheesy looking, only black and light blue. The AM radio did not work and FM reception sounded weak. I don't know why the radio didn't sound good but everything else did. Overall, for $50 it was great, but its not worth more than $300 if thats what you're looking to spend, $130 would be tops what I would pay new.

The extra $$$ will be will spent in the long run for the name brand quality. I have the Pioneer Avic-940bt and absolutely love it! The old saying is PAY ME NOW OR PAY ME LATER!

Did you take the power for the radio off the ACC wire. I am having an issue that when I drive the volume cuts out. When I stop it comes right back?
