Locally they want over $100 for a FPDM. Amazon has a dorman brand for $57

I knew there were people around here that did not like the dorman brand, but I didn't know if that had to do just with cam phasers or not.

Opinions?

If this doesn't fix my check engine light
and improve mileage, I will have to put a fuel rail pressure sensor in next.

What code are you seeing on the dash?

I believe the only Dorman complaint I know of is phaser parts.

Dorman have MANY cheap parts but I think the FPDM is one of the few items you can trust about 50% of the time lol. You can almost buy 2 for the cheaper price and one of the two should be good. I think for the most part their FPDM is reliable. No personal experience though.

No. The Dorman FPDM is fine.

dormant is fine i have used the fpdm on my truck works great for a few years now i also purchased mine from rock auto us was less then 53.99

I went ahead and purchased the doorman online from Amazon prime right after I posted about my P0191 code.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll update this after I get it and install it

I got the Dorman to replace as preventative maintenance, not sure what my original one looks like.
