Well I fixed my issue with the door. It turned out that the rubber cowling part thing that goes around my door frame at the top was fitted in. It must've been barely out before because I never noticed it until today when it got to the point where it just hung there. I popped it in so it lined the door frame and now it shuts perfectly!
