K&N CAI, aluminum or plastic?
I'm purchasing a K&N Intake. Pro's and con's to the Aluminum intake vs Plastic? I believe the Aluminum looks better but the specs on the plastic show a few HP increase over the Aluminum. The specs also say plastic is quieter than Aluminum. Unless it's obnoxious, I think I would like more sound. Also, the price difference between the 2 is only $10.
Thanks......

k&N cai
I got the plastic one and you can most certianly tell the intake is there both in power and loundness. When not in throttle it is quiet! I would go w/ plastic more power and it is just the right amount of sound I think!

Goombah Stomper
the reasons why i didnt get the aluminum was because
1) i live on a ranch and find no need to have shiny material under the hood
and
2) i was kinda getting the idea that the aluminum would hold more heat from the engine bay and heat the air more as it goes in. of course, i could be wrong. but i have the plastic tube and i friggin love it.
the only thing that turns me off bout k&n is havin to buy the recharger kit to clean it.
