You will have to take the covor off to drain the old fluid.Unless you have a vac pump that will pull the oil out. But i like to take the covor off to get a visual of all the gears. And spray everything out with brake cleaner.

You will need some Silicone to put the covor back on. No need for a gasket.

I know this is a huge bump, but my '99 4.6 has done this for quite some time.

Can this cause damage? I've been told it's wheel hop or clutches.
