Default difference between 04-08 and 09-12 frames

so i was told by krown who does my oil spray that the frame on my 2006 f150 by the rear leaf springs is getting alittle thin. the inside of the frame is full of chunks of rust and dust. i guess the guy i got the truck off of was spraying the frame with rubberize undercoating which holds all the salt and water in. so my question is will my cab and box fit on a 09-12 frame or do it stick with a 04-08 frame. any info will help!

09+ super crew trucks have a cab that's about 6" longer. The rear leaf springs on the trucks are also longer and have different mounting points.

Not sure it would be as simple as just swapping things over.

Not to insult you or anything like that at all, also not calling you dumb or doubting your mechanical ability. I think you should look into a new truck if your at the point of swapping frames. If you have the ability to do it yourself, maybe I can see it, but if you were to pay someone to do this, your looking at countless hours of labor to accomplish that.

No insult taken. I just spent $2600 in body work last winter cleaning up the rust. No holes a lot of surface rust so I'm into this far. Frame work is no biggy for me I'm a licensed tech. Getting a garage built next year in my back yard and planning to put in a hoist so I'd be doing the job myself. While I'm there mine get the new frame powder coated. Just didn't know if frames were interchangeable. 09-14 looks a bit more beefy.

I was talking to the Ford dealer parts department and the guy said the cab mounts and everything were the same right though but is not sure about the bumpers mounts. He's going to do so research for me and let me know. But from what he said as long as the wheelbase is the same should bolt up.
