diesel engines are heavy if you are planning on putting one in a 1/2 ton good luck. it wont work with out a lot of beefing up the front end it would be easier to sell your truck and buy a diesel truck.

Dang, you can sure sniff out a rat BK2!
Good work! I hate when Bee-S-er's get people's hopes up...... This reminds me of Fordfordster with his antics lol!
I still really want to see a diesel swap. I bet its definitely possible, even with a 6.0L... A donor vehicle really does seem like the most practical way...

This is all in the future. if it does happen. its gonna get a six speed and the whole front end will be redone for a few different reasons. besides that im pretty sure my front end could take it. i have about a 100 lb bumper on the front and the truck didnt change in rake at all. just my opinion. Ill look into the 6 bt. I just might do the 6.0 though if i cant get a donor vehicle maybe even a 6.4. by the time all this even gets thought about money will hopefully not be an issue nor will fabrication. Once im out of the military im going to school for auto tech and fabrication for my own business. Thanks for the help guys. any other ideas would be cool, especially if you have links to the build.

go with the 6bt, but make sure you beef up your front suspension! like those airbags that go inside or next to the strut.

Ya I agree on that. It will probably get air bags if I go this way. But I would like to go with coil overs because the truck will see off road a lot once I'm back home.
