The light we got should be fine for awhile mc. It will be obvious when it happens but I've ran threw at least 5 strong car washes with no leaking.

Yeah, i've gone through 2 or 3 washes and heavy rain the past 2 days.... was just wondering if its like a leak that I wouldn't notice unless I knew where to look and if it would be too late by the time I checked haha.

Holy S***! I went out today just messing around and found this. A bunch of small streaks in the back window. Yes, this is on the inside and it's streaking the dust collection I have on the windows I was just surfing this forum trying to think of small things to do to prevent major problems later. Not sure if you can see it, but this is a cell phone pick.

When I was searching threads last night, There are a TON of pictures of people having water on their back seats, and headliner damage. These trucks are as new as 2012. Yikes, you would think Ford figured this out by now.

It could be obvious and then again it might not be. You you have streaks on the inside of your back windows from water, your headliner wet, or floor along the back of you truck is wet then its a good chance it leaks. I didn't notice until I started to smell a musty smell after it rained. A non noticable place that gives it away is if you have water pooling up in the channel under the step board under the driver and passenger doors. I would definately check there to make sure there are no signs of pooling water because eletrical wireing is in the channel.

Mine started leaking when she was about a year old. Never saw a thing. Just got in one day and it smelled like a car that had been rained in. I started hunting for the strong scent and found the carpet n the hump under the rear seat to be wet. Siliconed the light and cleaned the truck inside. All has been well since.

I need to replace mine; it's broken. Otherwise, I'd probably silicon it.

I replaced mine because the housing was broke when I got the truck. But even with a broke housing mine never leaked.
