Default did some work today, new question

So today, moved crap in the garage so I could fit the truck in. Fired up the heater to take the chill off and got to work. Pulled all my window switches, disassembled and cleaned. All working again thanks to this forum! put new foam on air cleaner housing, mine was nearly gone. Pulled dome light, put two pieces of closed cell foam cut to fit on top of the styrofoam roof liner bumpers. No more rattle, again, this forum rocks.

Now, I have two questions. I noticed that when I flipped up my rear seat, there is an electrical plug under the driver side rear seat where it bolts to the floor. Is this for the audiophile subwoofer? If the plug is here, did this truck come with the option but someone removed it before trading it in?

Next, after fixing my sunroof (adjusting the glass up so it does not leak anymore), I notice that the trim piece surrounding the inside opening in the roof is warped away from the headliner. I push it back in, but it just slowly deforms back out, looks like crap. Is there some sort of glue I should use inside it to stick it back in place, or does it just need to be replaced?

Also noticed that today I had to engage 4x4 while moving, I was going less than 20mph, foot off the gas. When I turned the dial, 4x4 engaged with a driveline clunk. Is this normal? I probably should have stopped but I wanted to see about "shift on the fly" operation. It disengaged correctly, no problems there, just wondering if this is what it should do when moving and engaging. Thanks for all the help!

The wire is for the sub. A lot of trucks have it without the audiophile system because it's cheaper to build them that way on the line. Some have it, some don't. As for the clunk, if it's slight, it's normal. Mine has done it since new. No problems.

well thats a relief. Any thoughts on the sunroof trim piece? I'll try and snap a picture of it today so you can see what I'm talking about a little better. I was also thinking of unplugging my passenger side VCT solenoid, will that harm anything or do they BOTH have to be unplugged before starting the truck?

What screws did you adjust to raise up the sunroof? Mine doesn't leak , but it does sit lower than it used to.

I'll have to dig it up, I deleted the favorite from my computer after I finished. Pretty simple really just pull up on the plastic around the switch and it snaps off. Disconnect the plug and bring piece to a well lit table. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to remove the switch from the trim panel. Using an even smaller screwdriver or pick, release the two tabs holding the switch together in the middle. Be careful as the rocker switch pretty much holds it together and will fly off when released. On second thought, it could have been easier to pull up on the rocker evenly and snap it off before separating the switch halves.

Inside, gently remove the white rocker stick and set aside, make sure you don't lose the black plastic plungers and springs inside it though. Use a small pick or paperclip to lift out the metal contractors. Use the pick to gently remove the black corossion from the pads in the switch and the metal pads. Reassemble and you are back in business!

There are two star headed screws on each side of the sunroof glass ad seen from the bottom. The glass has slotted holes in the frame that these screws go through. I loosened the rear screw on each side. Had my neighbor hold the glass up so it was even with the roof while I tightened them back up. Easy fix, took 5 minutes.
