Did a little leather work today

I have the medium/dark flint interior in my 07 XLT. One of the mods I started doing is I'm painting all of the medium flint (the light gray) interior parts of my truck black. I scored a nice & cheap black FX4 leather steering wheel off Ebay. Tomorrow I'm painting my airbag black and installing the steering wheel. It'll be nice to get rid of the gray rubber wheel, that's for sure. To add a little something special to my interior I removed the instrument bezel, took out the center plastic piece, and wrapped it in black leather. I love it, and as soon as I get the part that it attaches to painted (sometime tomorrow) I'll re-install it and change out the steering wheel with before and after pics. Here are some from tonight.

Still making those, $37 to your door. And I hope to finish up on the wraps for the "Oh ****!" handles by tomorrow.....those are really cool! And besides just wrapping the center bezel of my interior I plan on wrapping the armrests on the door panels in black leather also.

My only complaint is that that medium flint paint is still a shade lighter than the grey of the stock dash and its really noticeable on such a large area as the speedo bezel I havent decided if I can live with the difference because I dont want anyone who doesnt know I modded the truck to be able to tell it wasnt a stock option. That dark flint is an exact match other other hand I used it on the silver bits of the flow through console along with the medium flint for the panels and it turned out well.

Oh, someguyIknow gave me the idea, thanks bud!
My paint is a much closer match than yours for some reason, maybe quality control was sleeping that day, LOL! You could always repaint the pieces that meet up with your instrument bezel. BTW, that looks great regardless of the color difference. I painted the silverish parts of my console with the dark flint too, just the other day...... looks waaaay better now. I'm goint to order some black from them for my dash painting project....I tried Krylon Fusion but I don't like the way it looks. The Colorbond paint gives the plastic a much nicer finish.

I didn't mean to repaint the bezel itself, just the piece in between the bezel and the windshield. It might not be as noticeable then.
I'll get on the shifter cover right away and I'll PM you when it's ready to be shipped.
