diablosport predator w/k&n cai canned tune
So after a ton of research and reading hundreds of posts on the 5.4 3v with a cold air intake running lean, I'm drawn to go with the diablosport predator because it has canned cai tunes for airaid/roush and k&n intakes. I don't really feel like going through the hassle and wait of a custom tune and I have zero experience with a programmer. I contacted jerrybizzle who is running this combo and he said its great, but does anyone else have any experience with this combo?
My only plans are for a cai (k&n probably) and mbrp exhaust as my flowmaster isn't a dual exhaust and I've always wanted a truck with duals lol
I also read that the airaid cai is safe without a tune?
Any help is appreciated, and before suggesting a search trust me I have looked through almost every cai thread but would like a more direct answer.
Let's say I wanted to get a custom tune, does anyone still do custom tunes for the predator? If so how would I go about doing so? I've heard of troyer and sct tunes but haven't looked into it. I know its kinda an older programmer but summitracing still sells it
Thanks in advance!

I have this set up on my 4.6 , love it . Gained 2 miles per gallon and what a diff in performance . Diablosport's web site has all the info you need for custom tunes if you wish, but the canned one works great for me.

Thanks for the input! I did check out their website but didn't look for custom tunes. I just want to make sure it will be safe to run the canned cai tune without it running lean...

I have had mine for two years now 40,000 miles and no problems . If you go to their web site check out the forum there, thats where you find all the answers you are looking for.

One thing to be aware of is there isn't a specific tune for towing but I was assured the k&n 87 tune is safe to tow to factory specs. I have towed my 6000 pound camper without issue.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have anything to tow anymore because I sold my jet ski, but maybe another member will the post and it will inform them as well!

Ok so after more research, I found that the diablosport doesn't have the ability to scan for trouble codes. Hmm I'd kinda like that ability had something come up. So I'm look at sct now, and the 3015 sft. Is there a cai tune on the sct 3015 or do I have to get the sct 3000 with custom tunes? I think its between sct or a gryphon now...

If you go SCT you'll need the X3 for the custom tunes. The 3015 is normal canned tunes. If you don't have the intake already I would skip it and just do the Gotts. CAI's don't add that much power and give lower filtration for the most part.
