Interesting you mention the 'Catch Can' - (And the cold bud light 'crackling sound' in the same context!). I' been workin' on designing me one of them catch cans. The latter may become an integral part of that!
Haven't perfected it yet - but it's gonna' have to work as good as my Red-neck CAI --- AND My oil filter spill funnel that replaced that stupid f@#*!ing plastic oil spill thing I tore off the frame below the oil filter. When I did my timing job and put on a sandwitch adapter, I carved the top of a large plastic funnel, drilled a couple of holes in the lip for the wire ties and tied it below the oil filter. NOW I know EXACTLY where the oil is going to drain when I remove the filter.

The oem is already a CAI. For the same price, get a tuner and call it a day. Now, let me go get a sixxer of Ultra... Bud is gross lol
Torqued, what app are you using? I have torque lite and it looks nothing like that. I want to see my trans temp, but I don't have that option on the app I'm using.

Based on my 'Torque Pro' custom gauges organized on one of the 15 dashboard screens I have created... The intake air from underneath the drivers fender certainly is not COLD (with numerous air paths inside the engine compartment - downstream from the FAN air drawn in through the radiator, and the worst of which is right above the frame near bank 2 exhaust manifold). The IAT would routinely run 20 - 30 degrees above ambient. If I sat at a red light two minutes on a 101º So. Tx. day, (without exaggeration) I had seen IAT at 148º. But I wasn't joking about getting frustrated about the OBDII EVAP Monitors not running when IAT is >100º. I have been working on a really cool Torque Pro dashboard for monitoring ALL the parameters for EVAP operation and management. I plan on posting it like the others once I get it all sorted out.
I bypassed the Torque Lite step and just jumped in with both feet, pony'ed up the $4.95 for the App and went for Torque Pro! I've never looked back or regretted it. The ability to scan for PIDs, add sensors / PIDs, create new custom gauges of your choosing (even customize them) and put them anywhere you want on any dashboard ... Import/export PIDs and dashboards ... ... and on and on makes the Torque Pro App an unbelievable tool. In my opinion, its better than IDS or any other $20,000.00 diagnostics system.
If you get the paid version of Torque, review this post: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/torque-...1/#post5339202 - you can download and import the custom PIDS via the 'csv' file attached to that post. (That's the best way because the formula for EOT is damn near 128 characters long!!!) Then add a Trans Temp gauge (of the style you prefer) on any dashboard, or add any of those gauges.

I've seen those temps, too. Stop-n-go through downtown Minneapolis. Once you're moving, it's back within a couple degrees of ambient within 3 or 4 miles. That's good enough for anyone who doesn't care about being a stoplight racer.
