I just order this one. I'll let you know next week what I think about it. I'm currently running a SI/DO Cherrybomb Pro straight out the back. I'm tired of the rusty aluminized steel and thought I would change it up some.

Looked around and did some research
Muffler I choose: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12158/

The shop by my house quoted me 312 for install...pipe bending, tips welded on and everything...seemed kinda pricey, gonna search around.

I just need to find which tips I want. Does a tip make a sound difference or is it more of just a look? I liked these ones: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GIB-500361/

Any help would be great!

Yeah I kinda figured 312 was ridiculous. $98 and hour for labor (2 hours) then about 70 for pipes and tax it was 312. Then I need tips and the muffler so im around 500 which is what I figured. But 312 seems ridiculous. I see people ob here saying they got everything done with providing the muffler for 200. Im def gonna look around.

I just did a MagnaFlow on my truck. I went with this muffler.

Amazon Amazon

and these tips. 2-1/2" in and 4" out.

Amazon Amazon

It sounds really good, nice and deep, relatively loud at take off but levels off when the RPMs drop. No drone. I bought the muffler and tips and took it to a local muffler shop. They bent all the pipe and installed everything for 200$.

Same exactly muffler if i'm not mistaken, yours is just stainless. and like I stated before, do tips have any effect on the sound? Like if I go with 3 or 4 inch will it make a difference?

yes itll make a difference but im not sure how it will change the sound. I have 3" and mine has a low grumble. bsiegel said he has 4" so he should be able to tell you what it will sound like.

I've been looking around at tips, theirs some that I guess are more...fancy than others, but i'm also not looking to spend $200 in tips... So the main question now is will the 3 or 4" give me the mean sound i'm looking for?
