Debating on buying tow mirrors, thoughts?

From the prompting of the OP.
I went and took a head on pic of my truck with the tow mirrors NOT extended. And I measured to see how much they stick out.
The stick out, from the truck, about 14.5".
On my way back into the building, I passed several 04-08 F150s with stock non-tow mirrors. SO I measured one. The stock non-tow mirrors hang out about 11".

Can anyone give me a measurement from the base of the mirror to the outside of the mirror? Im trying to figure out how much more the tow mirrors protrude compared to the regular mirrors. I tow a travel trailer in the summer so they would be awesome to have but I also still need to fit in the garage.
