my two cents if your not an electrician and you hook them up theres probably gonna be problems theres a diff between certified and rigd... i always have everything of mine professionally installed and havent had any problems... i have DDM tunning HID's headlights and fog lights when i called for info on them the customer service was nothing but perfessional and helpful... if you call with an attitude it does nothing but hurt your chances of being helped no one likes and a** over the phone...

You've gotta remember that DDM has thousands of people buying from them every year. They simply do not have the man power to make sure everything is right with the order. Thats why you see online stores and Ebay state that you should know what your buying before you buy it. If you order a part thats for the AA feature but your vehicle only uses XX thats your fault for not checking and making 100 percent sure you have the right stuff. Now I can sympathize on the wrong ends for the connectors but from what i read they rectified the situation. Now for the refund I'd be calling them and asking about that even its only 30 bucks

I agree, i bet 90 percent of the people having problems with flickering and what not installed them on there own. Its well worth the extra cash to get them installed by a professional. The place i go to warranties the work they do too so if they mess up they will pay for replacing it.

Hey hey hey, I installed mine on my own with no prior experience, and they have had no problems... LOL, but in all seriousness, you are completely right. I try and be as courteous as I can when calling any kind of customer service... it gets me a whole hell of a lot farther lol.

I never got an attitude with them and actually joked with the guy I was talking to but after being on hold for 10-20 minutes waiting for some to answer you get frustrated. I got a ton of patience for people (I work for 911 here in Pittsburgh) and know that its not the guys fault that I'm talking to, I tried everything he was telling me to and it still wasn't fixing the problem. All I wanted was a working set of headlights.

As for the professional installation, the first install was done with some help from a guy at my fire station who is a 4 star mechanic for dodge. I'm pretty sure he grasps the concept of automotive lighting. And hids are not exactly a daunting task if you have a wiring harness. It's basically making sure all your connections are solid and plugging some female ends into male ends

Lol. Yeah there not the hardest thing ever to install. The shop that installed mine also put load resistors in to make sure the ballasts are taken care of. There an extra 15 bux each and to me, there worth the money.

If they sell thousands of kits every year, they shouldn't have too much of a problem eating the price of one kit.

And whether or not you're a jerk with them, true professionalism in customer service is tending to your customer's needs and coming to a mutual agreement.

im not sayin that someone whos not an electrition cant hook them up im just saying i sleep better knowing mine will work and if they dont the professional who hooked them up will fix it.. as far as customer service yes you can be rude to them and for the most part they will fix it but im willing to bet if you are nice to them things will happen faster.. an yea i do relize being on hold sucks but think about how many calls they have in a given day and how many people are there to answer questions..

All of these HID Kits are plug and play. Most of them only go together/fit one way and you can't mess that up. They also come with a wiring diagram and if you are somewhat mechanically inclined you can install these kits with ease!!!!

Because I installed at least 15-20 kits for myself and other people does that qualify me as a professional?????

In the end the customer is right (especially with video). With the amount of product that DDM pushes out, they should replace them with no charge or hassle.
