I just converted my hella rally 4000's to hids (4300k) and they are nice! But that's a strictly off road only purpose. My headlights look super yellow in comparison to them now. Not too sure if I want HIDs for headlights. Are there any brighter/whiter bulbs, non HID?

I have a set of Bi-Xenon's from DDM and they have sent me 3 replacement pairs of bulbs because ONE of the bulbs in every pair has been bad. It would bounce and "flicker" (never actually turning off) when I would hit tiny bumps or turn the HI beams on. I reset the bulbs as they said, but so far they haven't failed or anything they are just very irritating when you need them and they bounce a lot.

Second the above poster.

For matching light (heads and fogs) deciding between 5000K and 6000K, is it best to go 55W headlights and 35 W Fogs?

To avoid comments like the following, go to the above sticky for your discussion.

If you want to blind oncoming traffic, use the cheap POS PnP kits from DDM.

There are ways to do it correctly.

Frankly I wish they'd enforce the laws relating to headlights like they do seatbelt laws......at least if you're not wearing a seatbelt the only person you're screwing is yourself.

if you properly adjust your lights with the stock housing then you shouldn't be blinding anybody, if your retarded enough to just throwing a set of lights with out adjusting and this goes for standard bulbs as well. you should be ticketed.

Although adjustment can maintain that the majority of light stay low enough to avoid blinding effects... The scattering of the light can still be distracting... This is the issue that people seem to dwell on with retro fit kits.... That being said... I find hid kits that even are stock in vehicles are just as distracting and the random scatter.. when a car comes up a hill... And I'm just starting down.... They can still get ya...

Are hid lights sweet looking hell ya! Do they provide a function that a normal halogen bulb cannot? Debatable... People have drove with hid's for years safely the HID is not essential...

yep, properly aimed there really isnt enough glare to cause any problems, no worse than stock bulbs if aimed properly, i see HID's quite often where i live and very rarely think they are too bright, and thats usually on the imports who are lowered so the problem is that they are not aimed properly
