Daystar 2.5 front and 1 inch rear block installed

Hey all, just wanted to share quickly after finally getting my rear blocks in yesterday. Currently running, 2.5 inch front Daystar leveling kit with 1 inch rear block from topguncustomz (rough country kit), rear kit was for 4x4s so had to cut extra bolt lengths off. Used awesome lenox hacksaw blade from lowes. Came out great love the setup, wanted a slight bit of rake back for towing/hauling purposes. Hated the rear sag when even the smallest amount weight was in the back.

Ive had the 2.5 Daystar on it for a year or so, last year ordered the 1 inch to bring up the rear a little more finally got around to cutting the bolts and installing them. Didnt want to blend in with the other leveled 2wds. I suggest 1 inch, glad I didnt do anymore than that. Truck is a 2wd, 20s with 275/60r20 Goodyear Wrangler HPs

Love the look! Looks like a hot rodding truck! Aren't those wheels from a Lariat or King Ranch?

Hey thanks! Yea it does kinda have that stance I suppose but the rake really isn't as bad as it looks there. I got some more pictures.

Those wheels came off an 08 fx4. I really like the oem 20s on these trucks really adds a sportyness to them.

Damn, I love the look of those wheels! My '04 FX4 has the factory 18 inch wheels. I wish I could switch up to the '20s to match my Ram 1500's 20 inch wheels but I know how expensive tires are, and replacing tires costs the same as headers!

Haha yeah I agree with you the ram 20s always made me want the 20s on this. Tires can be a lil pricey but it just depends on the size and tread you want. 275/55s arent bad. I got these at a steal at $89 a piece new from walmart selling off inventory tires sitting around in select fews. And these new are $220 a piece.

Wow man! That's an incredible price! I originally had Michelin LTX tires on my Ram 1500, then I switched to BFG All Terrain T/As with 285/55R20s and they cost me $1,600! Man, $89 a tire is almost like stealing them! :)

Looks good man... how long did it take you to install it. Im looking at installing one my self that is a 3" front and 2" rear. Did you need any out of the ordinary tools? I found a kit on ebay for $154.00 with free shipping..

Thanks, Naw the front nor the rear is hard to do. Just make sure you have right size sockets for rear ubolts which are around 20-22 mm somewhere in there and need deep too. For the front youll need a big socket and adj wrench for lower strut bolt. Best just to look up directions and read up on them make sure you feel comfortable doing it if never done before speaking for the front especially.. its more involved.. rear is very simple.

Also I don't know if I would do 2 inch in rear you would still have a good bit of rake. Unless that doesn't bother you.
