Yep. About what I am seeing around the net... I am going to see what other options I have before spending that on a small piece of plastic...

can you change the shifter in a 2005 fx4 (automatic) to a bullet or one of the designs they make. if you can how do u take the handle out to put the new one in?

What about a plastic plug at a hardware store, or a rubber cap.

More hindsight, I also used a dab of gorilla glue in my car for the shift cap. Never moved again lol. Hope you can find one cheap.
