Cylinder 5 & 8 Spark Plugs - Lisle Tool doesn't work
Hello,
Finally got around to doing the plugs on my '06 5.4. I broke 6 of 8, but cylinder 5 (driver front) and cylinder 8 (driver rear) are killing me. The lisle tool will not grab onto the electrode and no, the threads on the lisle are not stripped and yes, the pusher pin was fully seated. I've spent around 10 hours trying to get these two plugs out.
Hell, I've even unhooked the injectors on those cylinders and started the truck in the hopes the compression will just shoot the electrodes out.
Any suggestions before I call my local dealer?
Thanks!

If the Lisle tool is seated in the spark plug threads all the way - and you drive the extractor pin all the way to its seat, it will force the porcelain through the electrode loop. Are you screwing that in ALL the way? I can't imagine a plug snout it won't extract at that point. You sure you are following Lisle instructions to the letter?
