Fab shops cost around $90 an hour. Therefor, you would most likely end up spending much more than if you just bought one of the bumper kits I am thinking about doing. All you would then have to pay for is welding it all up.

I basically felt the same way about how you feel with the pricy bumpers. I started making my own as well and I am almost done with it. I bought 24' DOM tubing through my work for about 90 dollars and I got some free scrap 3/16 sheet metal drops. I can't wait to see what you got for designs. Here's what I got so far

What would the cost be from buying a kit to buying a full bumper? Obviously shipping would be a big part of it. I am very interested in seeing some pics of yours. I'm in need of a different front bumper. Can't wait to hear more about these.

There would be a difference in price, not positive how much at this point. Full bumper you will being paying me for the time to weld the bumper and also the more hefty shipping charges.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest. I will finish my bumper up and post some pictures. I will then start to chug the numbers and come up with prices, standard options, etc.

I wouldn't really be interested in a full bumper, but if you made a light bar kit (something similar to a smittybilt) that's something I'd definetly consider depending on prices. Not sure if thats something you were interested in doing though, just a thought.

Thats definitely something I could do. But you can get the smittybilt one for like a hundred bucks on amazon. Unless you want something specific/custom...

Awesome sounds good can't wait to see how it looks. I would prefer a kit because I'm a welder and would like the shipping to be cheaper.

How are you designing it? Like off the A.D.D. bumpers or what?

I am basing mine off of the N-Fab one... I also may add some dimple dies somewhat like the ADD ones.
