Default Cruise Control (Again)

Sorry to post another question about cruise control. I've got a 2004 5.4L F150 that the cruise control is not working on. I've searched far and wide through this forum and YouTube but can't find anything that helps very much yet. My truck does fall under the BOO switch TSB (Mfg 02/04 and has a floor mounted shift). I ordered what I believed to be the correct part from all I read and I cannot find anything in the truck that looks like the part or looks as though you can replace it with this part. Can't find any pictures of the part anywhere online either. Can someone explain to me how to install this piece, what the correct piece is, or even post a picture of the part out of your truck? Thanks in advance

I assume you checked the simple fixes first? Do you have any LED bulbs in any of your 3 brake lights? Do all 3 brake lights work?

LOL it worked I now see your post. Original is impressive! The average life of an incandescent bulb is probably only 3 years. What part did you order? From reading the TSB it looks like there is the switch under the brake pedal and then one located on the shift lever as well.

Here's the part I ordered. There is a brake light switch on the pedal as well as a little blue thing that is somehow connected to the brake system. But watching YouTube videos, this part should be on the master cylinder and it is not.

I could be wrong but I think the 97-03 and 04 heritage were the ones with the switch on the master cylinder not the new body style

Probably. I may end up having to bite the bullet and go to the dealership I guess haha. You mentioned something being on the shifter, would that be up inside the console?

I can not tell you for sure but yes I believe it is on the shifter inside the console. The console is a snap (literally) to open up. Just pop the top off of it.
