it definitely changed me. this happened in 2006 when i was in high school and most people dont think about their own mortality at that age unless something extreme happens. its hard to explain via an 150forum thread but it changed the way i look at everything and made me realize how lucky i am. everyone says "life is short." well it is true and i want to make the most of mine

Holy , dude I almost had my leg amputated from the knee down(left leg) in highschool and my life completely changed but yeah I see your perspective man, and yes were sure as hell are lucky to be alive. I also had an 01' f150 that was totaled due to a girl texting and driving colliding with me going 60mph and I was stopped.

The girl will never be able to walk without limping

its incredible that you both lived through that. after reading your story what i went through seems fairly mild. does the injury still bother you?

^I know my accident made me a lot more thankful for life, and a lot more thankful for the little things... there is no protection on a motorcycle, and I'm lucky to be here as well. I realized that I took so much for granted, and I try not to anymore as much as I can...

yeah i dont want to bag on the pre 04 trucks but they arent a strong truck structure wise. (as you can see in that video) ford wasnt messing around when they re-designed the F-150 for the 04+ trucks and its shows in the pure strength of the body and frames, they are built very well.

yeah I have all cadaver parts and permanent nerve damage. I think the worst part about the injury was not being able to get up out of a chair on my own for 4 weeks, I was like,
