Crank but no fire

Default Crank but no fire

2004 f150 heritage 4.2 automatic... will crank but wont start replaced battery, starter relay, starter, coil pack, plugs and wires, swapped out relays for others that are the same still wont start dont know why any help would be appreciated

tap the gas tank about a dozen times with a hammer and them crank it again

Sounds like you’re tossing money away at guesses. Are you getting fuel and fire? Two things to check....

Just because you changed all that stuff doesn’t mean you’re getting fire. A spark tester will help. If you have fire, move on to checking fuel. Check for voltage with a meter.

it's either not getting gas or their is no spark to the plugs

Have ya checked to see if your fuel pump module is still intact above the spare tire?
These modules corrode bad & fall apart.
The 4.6/5.4 have the module above the spare tire so I assume the 4.2 would also.

Why not troubleshoot properly before tossing parts at it.. easy to see if you are getting fuel and spark. You stated it will crank but, you replace starter/battery ? That don’t make sense.

i was thinking the same thing about the battery. if the motor turns over why replace the battery? Lol

Default Shoot some fuel into the intake to see if it will fire and is missing fuel .

Spark tester should also be used .
