I use electrical contact cleaner and a small screwdriver to scrape the spade clean. The spring will really only contact the spade on the sides of the spade so make sure you get that cleaned up really well. Tech also has a good suggestion with the small nail file.

Vinegar on a q-tip will remove the corrosion without scoring the connector.

The Denso Part # I got is 671-8164. That is a straight boot & springs. Thanks for all the tips guys! I seen it only made contact on the sides of the spade & just wanted to get good contact.

08's built after 10/09/07 require a different boot from most 04-08 5.4 3V motors.. key here is if you need black or brown boots.

I had the 871 8164s too. Check Rockauto too. I was looking for some for my wifes Expy and Amazon came up empty on those but Rockauto had em. Luckily her boots seemed to be in great shape.
