Continues misfire on Cylinder 5.

Alright,

My pickup has been at ford for the last 3 weeks getting CAM phaser replaced. Well they got it all back together and it still misfires on cylinder 5.

Ford had replaced and checked as below.

1. Spark Plug
2. Coils
3. Harness to PCM
4. Replaced PCM & updated
5. Changed Injectors
6. Checked Fuel Pressure and was fine

They are running out of ideas anyone ever encountered this??

Did they perform compression test on cylinder five?

Yes and it tested out fine. They also replaced the head and i asked if there was any scoring on the piston and no it was clean so it isnt random detonation.

they replaced my brand new one with a brand new one. I would highly DOUBT it would be 2 bad ones from different autopart stores.

All has been checked. Coils have been tested & moved as stated in 1st post. Plugs have been changed as stated in first post and electrical connections have been tested.

What are you getting in fuel pressure? I'm seeing a good number of posts being resolved when a close look is taken at the fuel delivery system (FPDM, FPDIS, and the Fuel Pump.)

Something had been missed.

Was there a misfire before the phasers were replaced?

Is the timing correct?

Fuel pressure was tested at idle and under load and stayed right where it should be.

Yes the misfire was there b4 they replaced the cam phaser. BUT i did not know what cylinder till 4 days before i took it them. As it was always a random miss. I would say the timing is right as if it wasnt there would be more than just one cylinder missing.
