Id just go by the part number for the manufacturer.

For example, if youre going with a K&N, go to their website and copy the part number they have for your truck/engine then google it to find the best price.

I tired to look thing is i have looked at the $70 cai compared to the $200 k&n cai and they are the same thing my only promblem is its eather setup for the older 4.6 or the newer 5.4 where the throttle body points up

In this series of truck you are already drawing cold air from the fender. Many of the so called CAI kits actually relocate the air intake to under hood, now drawing warm air instead.

Don't waste your money. Modify your stock tube and just purchase a high flow filter.

This topic has already been beat to death.
