Beware of people who don't what they are talking about lol. Yes it is possible to see a 20hp improvement with some of the CAI kits. However custom tuning is required with some to benefit from this type of gain. The reason why is fairly simple. Being under your hood you have probably noticed the MAS is not mounted in MAF housing as you have no doubt seen on other vehicles. The MAS has been calibrated to area where it is located in the intake track. Changes in design and flow abilitys of this area from one kit to another are what will cause the truck to run lean if the sensor is not recalibrated. The Roush or Airaid kit which are the same kit, the Air force one, and I believe the K&N are setups that keep the same area preventing you from needing a tune. However if power is what you seek then a CUSTOM tune should be on your to do list. I personally had an Airaid kit before going power crazy. It was great and the power difference could be felt in the seat of the pants while also increaseing my 0-60 by .4-.5 secs per my gtech.
Troyer swears by these things and they do work very well as does the Airaid intake tube which is an improvement over the Gotts mod. He has various Stage kits as well you shoukd look into. Save up and get custom tunes and a CAI at the same time you will be smiling from ear to ear! Oh and heres some links for ya

It may cut down like 1HP, but it is well worth it and when it's time to inspect/lube/clean my K&N it's a very easy and quick job because the filter is much cleaner than running without one. If you don't want to spend $30.00 for the proper K&N fitted Pre Filter you can always grab one of the wifes pantyhose lol.
Love the panty hose idea!!lol Here is my pre filter. Love the Outerwears and they usually run around $20. The K&N will dry out long before it ever needs cleaned thanks to these and thats well past 50,000 miles. Also here is a pic of the CAI I custom built from fiberglaass for my truck.

We have a section here just about CAI and I bought Airraid because its one of only 2 CAI's that doesnt require a custom tune and I noticed a decent gain with my CAI but I also added exhaust along with it

As I said, there will be very small gains, if any, over a Gotts modded CAI and clean air filter with a STOCK, unchipped engine. There have been numerous tests done on flow benches and publicised and the factory setup is adequite for a stock setup.

Want to buy a hydrogen generator? They say it makes 50% more HP on 30% less gas.. They said it so it must be true.

On select engines there isn't much of an increase. While others respond much better. I never said the Gotts mod wasn't worth while. Probably the best bang for the buck on the trucks. Now if you want to call people liars go right ahead. But I have known and been friends with Mike Troyer for some time. He test everything before he puts any claim behind it. If he says it will give you x hp it will. If it doesn't he'll make it right. Secondly Roush doesn't put their name behind junk nor do they lie about results. A little pricey yes but you can take there word to the bank. And lastly seeing as how I am pushing 130% more power to my rear wheels than you I would say keep your hydrogen generator....you need it far worse than I
