Cold Air Intake???

I got a Volant on my 04 and its a true CAI with great expansion capabilities.. I also don't have any lean issues to speak of, and I've been running it for about 60,000 miles.. I would suggest you run any CAI with a tuner so you can richen up the A/F ratio. Custom tunes are better then the canned tunes, and will be a great improvement in power, and better alternative to the already lean factory tune. The Volant and S&B are both sealed boxes and will probably do a better job of pulling in that colder air.

i have the Airaid MIT ( it does look like the Roush)...stock airbox on top of intake with K&N filter...works great and less expensive than full on CAI kits

Do you think i should get my chip and cold air at the same time.... Idk if getting the cold air will mess with my MAF. they said i might have to get a new MAF if i get a cold air because of the extra air flow coming.

Yeah i figured if i get my CAI then I should get my tune at the same time. So i can make sure my truck doesnt run to lean

I don't wanna say no or yes because I don't wanna wreck ur truck u know? I had my intake on years before the tuner and issue free. So maybe try it without?

yeah i know what you mean. I'm going to look more into depth with it before I start buying ****. Thanks for your info though.
