Ford timing components on the newer motors are made by cloyes. They even have the same part numbers.

I purchased OEM tensioners from freedom racing 2 weeks ago and they came in bubble wrap, not the FORD bag. Im debating on even using them and sending these back.

I bought the followers from Advance website, genuine Ford parts, using their 25% off discount for ordering online plus another $20 coupon I had. I paid maybe $100? For the lash adjusters, full disclaimer, I did go with Melling... at the time I figured if their pump is good enough, so are the adjusters (presoaked in oil for a week, but came 99% solid anyway). Only part I didn't go Ford with... time will tell if I made the right decision or not, my OCD has me wondering if any little noise I hear is an adjuster (I doubt I'm actually hearing anything)...I got them off Rockauto. For piece of mind, in hindsight, I wish I'd gone Ford on those too just to eliminate the thought from my head. For the life of Ford parts vs the cost of a new(er) truck, the difference in price was pennies on the dollar. If I can afford to **** away money on cosmetics, I better be able to put money where it counts in the mechanicals....

fordpartsgiant.com had the best deals on the rollers and lash adjusters when I did my motor last year and summit is where I got the Melling pump. I used amazon to get the felpro gaskets and timing tools. Well worth the little extra money to grab those tools IMO.

That's a good price on timing stuff, but curious why it's not listed for 2004? Lashes changed I think, but were the timing parts changed? I didn't remember coming across different parts when I ordered.

I think it was because of the 04 heritage model and the new body style model being available in the same year. I bought this same kit and it is working just fine in my 04 3V.

The lash adjusters on the 04 models ARE different. I had to get those for mine but I went through fordpartsgiant, verified by VIN# and all that fun stuff.

I will say everything is included in the timing set but I know I had to reach out to them for the front seals. I'd shoot them an email and they will get back to you pretty quick.

Good price from MMR on the OEM kit. The rockers and lash adj. are about $10 cheaper at Summit with free shipping.

I recently read that the Ford plate will flex and begin to leak at 2500 RPM, the 360HV doesn't flex and leak till 5000.
