So after a rough start with my 05 lariat, Im at a point where Im actually enjoying my truck. Still have to out a bit more money into it but over all I'm pretty happy with the truck.

So Im going to be changing out the VCT in the next few days. Im about to order them on line but I was wondering if anybody could put my doubts to rest.
There are two (one on each side) but when I ordered them it didn't specify if there was a right and left one or can I just get two and put one on one side and the other one on the opposite side. It also didn't specify if it came with the seal but I didnt find a different option to order it. I ordered it from partsgeek so if any one can shed some light on this I would be very grateful.

They are both the same, not side specific. Seals are a bitch to get out, at least mine were, but if not damage to them, they are reusable but I would just buy 2 new ones if I were you. Get a long blade T-27 torx screwdriver (the one piece unit) for removing the vct's. Do not try to just use a torx bit, it will fall out and go down in your engine and you will have to take the whole front off. Double check the torx size with a search here, but if I recall correctly, its a T27. Good luck
