Clearance lights for f-150
#11
here are a couple of my truck.
i installed them myself, and love the look. i didnt want to have them until i lifted the truck, they give such and attitude to the look! i used gromets around the wire holes, and used RTV around each hole as well. where i live, we average 13 feet of rain each year, and i have had no leaks.
the lights are recon lights for a dodge ram, LED and smoke colored. you can pick up a set for about 60.00. the trick is to measure 4 or 5 times, and then drill your holes. i removed the entire headliner to make the install easier.
and to the guy who asks "why", all i can say is "why not"? they look bad ***** !

im in southeast Alaska (Ketchikan), so yes, we get about the same weather.
swashbuckler... that does look awesome... i never thought of doing that, but now i just might look into it !
boomtrap... personally, i would do it yourself. anyone who is even remotely mechanically inclined can do a great job. its really just a matter of measuring, and sealing good when mounting. be sure to install a gromett around the middle hole for each light (each will require 3 holes- 1 for the wires, and 2 for the mounting screws) to protect the wires, and add some sealer (i used RTV on this set, and 2 previous sets, and have had no problems). you can install them any way that you want..... if you pull down the headliner first, you can get an idea where will be good to drill holes and get everything installed.
good luck if you decide to do it. they really do look good when you see them in person.
ohh.... and when i bought mine from www.gorecon.com, i used the promo code "4x4", and it was like a 30% savings.

then, give each light a ground, and wire the positive into your parking light wire at the light switch. after work i can look and see which wire it is in my truck, very easy to do.
