I took my bumpers off and brought them to work. Then, they got blasted and then coated with cerakote graphite black. Here is a link:http://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/finishes/H-146Q/

Here is the results:

The wheels, grill, badges, tow hooks and bumpers where done.

Powder Coating. It will most likely be your best bet. It should cost under $300, and they can match your paint color, not to mention is supposed to be durable. The place down here in Valdosta, GA, Armor Coating, quoted me $125 per bumper. (they do great work) Getting and FX4 bumper seems like it will cost more up front (until/if you can sell your stocks). That's just my two cents. If I do decide to black mine out, that is the route I am going to take.

I used spray in truck bed liner, sanded them lightly, sprayed on self etching primer then the liner. Holds up good I got into a fender bender last week and it barely scratched it. Plus easy to touch up

Let me know how the powder looks in 3 or 4 years and I hope they use one with a UV inhibitor in it or it will go gray.

If I decide to go that route then I will be sure to. I am willing to bet that it will still look good years down the road considering the truck spends 90% of it's time in the garage.
