Default Leveling kit VS. Lift kit?

i have an 07' f150 crewcab xlt 4x2. i want a more aggressive look. i saw a 3" front leveling kit that summit offers for $229 and a 6" lift kit for $1700. i want to get the biggest tires on the truck as possible without rubbing, which i think would be either 35" or 37". ideally i would like to the get the lift kit, but $1700 plus labor will be pretty expensive. does anyone know what a good price for labor on a 6" lift kit and a 3" leveling kit install would be? if i put a leveling kit on the truck what is the biggest tire i could get on there without any rubbing? any advise helps, thanks!

Do not get a 3" leveling kit, the angles on your suspension will be back. Um, with a 2.5" level you can put a 33x12.5 tire on a 2wd. You can do a 2.5" level and 3" body lift and maybe put some 35s, but on a 2wd your best bet for 37s is a 6" lift kit and a 3" body to clear them. Labor on leveling kit is around 150, lift kit is around 900, body lift is around 900 all those are install prices.

what if i didn't want to put something on there as wide as a 33x12.5. could i increase to 35x10 instead with just the 2.5" leveling kit?

well if you was local, i'd slap that lift on fof 400 bucks..2wd lifts are a piece of cake...around 600 for the liftkit install i would guess, it all depends on labor costs. yea forget the 3" leveling kit, junk IMO makes your angles too severe and along with 37's you will be wearing stuff out quickly....1st of don't buy a lift kit thru summit, they can't compete with prices in the market...

leveling kit and 33's are the biggest on a 2wd...get a real lift.

Very well put.. Either get a body lift or 6" lift. If you want 37s you need to do both.
