Default Chevron Gas = better gas milage?

I put about half a tank of Chevron in the truck the other day. I never use Chevron because the little car freaks me out, but it was the closest gas station and I was runnin on fumes. Well, after I pull out of the station, my instant MPGs start creeping up...its been easily a month since I reset it, its been sitting steady between 12.1 and 12.3, but I thought maybe I accidentally reset it, but it wasnt moving up and down fast enough, just up slowly as I was driving.

now Im around 13.3 and it keeps getting better. I havent changed my driving habits at all, only other thing I did was clean my K&N filter...but that was a couple days before and it wasnt dirty enough to be costing me that much.

anyone else have this happen?

that's the reason why I use Chevron & Shell... you pay for better quality of gas, you burn fuel more efficiently & it's better for your engine..

I always had good luck with BP Invigorate, but it appears Chevron is better. The commercial came on last night with the car talking to the dude while he was washing it. It really is creepy, especially since I detail cars for a living and I would run like hell if the car started talking to me...send shivers up my spine

We don't have any Chevron's up here anymore, but Sunoco works best for me.
