2005 V6 F150 - Check Gauges, Temp Gauge Fails, AC Stops working
I'm pulling my hair out with this thing. The Check Gauges warning has been coming on when the truck heats up. When it does, the temp gauge zeros out and the AC stops working. The codes say Cylinder Head Temp sensor. I have now replaced both the cylinder head temp sensor and the instrument cluster and it's still happening. I have no idea what to do next.
When it happens, it will eventually correct itself, and it only happens when you slow down. At higher speeds it never happens. In other words, you slow down or stop, it beeps and says check gauges, zeros out the temp gauge, AC stops. Speed up, it goes back to normal and repeats every time.
