Cheapest place in the country to get a 4x4?
I am looking for a truck for a friend of mine, most likely in this generation. Might go newer, but I want to see how this search goes. We are going to be shipping the truck anyway, so location is not such a big issue. Wondering if anyone on here has suggestions as where the best place in the country is to look for used 4x4s. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

Still going through ebay and autotrader, but hard to get specific enough. Just wondering if anyone on here has input as to where 4x4s are in greater supply without risking environmental hazards. A lot of the trucks I have seen on ebay have serious rust issues underneath. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

put in what years you want, what options, and bam look through them. and find one you like. its up to the owner for the condition of a truck, not where its from.
keep lookin, contact dealers and you will find one you like.
i hope your not looking for a answer as specific as a certain state/city. cause that would be ridiculous lol.

Don't get one from Minnesota or Wisconsin if salt exposure is an issue. Used trucks are reasonable around here, but they've likely seen a butt-ton of salt in the winters. My '06 is showing a little corrosion in a few little places already, but I expect it to happen, so I don't worry.

There is a store on ebay, texasdirectauto, that has a huge selection of vehicles, alot of them 4x4s. They advertise over 1900 vehicles for sale. I bought my truck through them. I called them directly and purchased instead of going through ebay. Every truck that i blue booked they were asking less than trade-in value. I bought mine at a little over $2000 under blue book. Their customer service sucks though. Prices are awesome but you have to decide if you want to deal with their attitudes.

Try to stay down south or midwest. Chances are if you look somewhere where a 4x4 truck isnt as "needed" youll probably be able to get a better deal. Down here in Bama, Georgia, Tennessee 4x4 is a must even if you dont really need it.

X2 stay away from the north especially new england. And the southeast because of price not because of the condition of the truck. If you find one in the southeast at a price you like, jump on it
