I don't really have the best experiences with towing companies, so the more I can stay away from them the better honestly.

thats a good idea, I think over 30 years of driving Ive had 2 flat tires, so removing the weight of the spare has to help mpg at least some, and as you say, my insurance gives me roadside assistance, so ill just put it on for long trips, as you also said

I never carry a spare... Lol.. Spare was the first thing that come off my truck.. I hate that under mount crap.. If i go somewhere that i think i need a spare i throw it in the back.. I would only use a spare on the front anyways.. the rear is locked.. so can really have a spare unless its the same size..

Yea I wouldn't use an original spare and 35s in the front or back and drive the truck. This was the first time i took it down. And boy is it dirty, it's literally yellowish from all the Sand, dirt, and everything else.
