Default Changed my battery now Batt. warning light is on?

Just changed my battery in my 2006 F150 5.4 motor.Now the battery light on the dash is staying on.Anyone know how to clear the light?Thanks,coobie.

Did you check the cables to the battery for damage or corrosion?

Removed the battery cables again for about 2 hours.Light is still on.I guess I will take it to my local shop monday and see if they can remove the light/code.coobie

All connections to charging system ok? Did you pull something or maybe break a corroded connection whilst jiggling things around?

Did you check your alternator? You may need to replace that as well..

As far as I know NO.Just pulled the Neg & Pos off the old battery and replaced with new battery.

Ok, I'd look into the charging system... Was there a reason you replaced the battery? Was the old one dead/dying... Just preventive?

You can have it tested and pull codes at oreillys..
