Think he meant using the anti chatter you can put on the back of the pads.

Ha ha ha! I hope so too! That would be nuts putting grease on the surface of the actual brake pad.

Sadly, I've seen people put the anti-squeal lubricant on the friction surface of the pads as well as put pads in backwards.

The guy who put the pads in backwards was PISSED the parts store wouldn't honor the warranty on the rotors.

I was referring to greasing the back, come on fellas, there must be some real idiots on here for y'all to always assume the worst haha

Hahaha not really....


But I did get to take it back apart today. I regreased everything, I switched the sides of the rotor the pads were on and I straightened up a slightly bent brake pad bracket. I'm not sure which one fixed it but I don't have any noises now. Hopefully it'll stay that way.
