The whole is made. The diameter is a bit bigger than 2inch but it will work fine. Please be very careful not to damage the heat insulation under the metal. My suggestion is for you to remove it manually and not to let the saw touch it. It would tear it a part and you want to keep that heat insulator as good as possible

Default Job finished!

I was expecting to finish by 5PM but it is 1:44pm and the job is finished! The transmission works as new! Ok lets go with some small things. You will have to change a bracket on the transmission to fit the head of the cable since the bracket used on the old cable is exactly one inch shorter. For the rest, everything runs smooth! So now it is time to make a goof interior clean up and plan for the next project! Ah the total cost. Everything was under $500 bucks!

The side panels will have to be modified but nothing major at all. And you will have to adapt the electrical cables to have light on the console. Very simple and easy. Everything works!

Please ask any questions and I will try to answer. I hope the photos have helped. I will post more photos once everything is clean because right now is a mess!!

This is the first time I do something like this. yes I had help but if I can do it seriously, any one can do it. The biggest head ache was to make the whole and cut the carpet.

I took the shifter from the steering column off. Also the cable. The hole was covered with the rubber from the shifter but you have three solutions. 1.- you leave it and do nothing. You can even leave the other cable disconnected at the transmission. 2.- Use the rubber from the shifter and take the shifter stick off. Or place a cover that will have to be handmade. 3.- Spend $15 bucks and put a new cover after you take the steering column shifter off.

Hah, was starting to think you just ignored my question (I probably would have.) Half the reason I bought my truck was lateral legroom, so this wouldn't work for me, but good job. Looks nice.
