Default car wash messed up my truck

I took my truck through a touchless car was yesterday and after I left it was messed up I would hold the gas and it seemed like it was only getting fuel intermittently and it kept stalling out. I could hear a weird noise coming from the rear end around the gas tank almost like a suction noise. Its kinda hard to describe it happened to me one other time last spring after leaving the car wash but it went away in less than an hour, though I almost called a tow truck to get it home...it was worse this time it lasted longer and now I think my power steering pump is whining has anyone ever had this problem? And is there a way to prevent it in the future? I haven't taken it through any deep mud holes yet but I'm almost afraid to now if its running like that from getting something wet

Check your fuel pump driver module by your spare tire

Might want to avoid the touchless car wash in the future. It's all I use, but I'm not driving a Ford. Interestingly, my neighbor has a 1997 F150 2wd and has no problems using the same car wash.

i use the touchless car wash all the time but this time i used a different one than usual and it sprayed water up under the truck....last time it happened i did the car wash manually and sprayed up under my truck so something is getting wet and not working right till it dries would be my guess i dunno

Like said above, that something is your FPDM. You are going to want to replace it ASAP or you will end up putting a new one in when your truck won't start in a really inconvenient spot.

Powerranger262 knows what he's talking about, I had money die on me on my way to work last winter. Was a pain in the *** and I wish I would have searched on here for the issue before spending $450 at the mechanic's.

Good to know, I only go to the ones that spray underneath in the winter time every now & then, just to get that salt and ***** out of there. No problems yet, fingers crossed. Otherwise I just pull into the ones you do it on your own.

I wash it by Hand in the summer anyway, unless I got mud and stuff caked underneath then I'll drive through so the underneath gets sprayed
