Default Can't buff headlights anymore

My stock headlights are getting to the point where using rubbing compound isn't reviving them anymore. They are pitted or whatever you want to call it. No condensation but they just look worn and tired. I don't want to go crazy with new lights like projectors or take them apart for an upgrade. I'm boring and just want to know where I can get a decent aftermarket pair. The ebay cheapos get bad reviews so I'm overwhelmed with looking and what to go with. Don't care about looks so much just want them to last and not fall apart in 3 months. I'm open to suggestions and price and where to buy etc and might be able to be convinced of an upgrade that won't cost me an arm and leg. I know this is an old topic but got tired of reading about the big money upgrades. Thanks

I would say eBay cheap ones and swap out the lenses if you feel like it.

That's what I did.. wet sand and re-clear them then buff them out.

Wet sand then apply a mixture of spar varnish and mineral spirits. You need to google the ratio, but there is quit a bit of info on the procedure.

Time to replace them. Buffing doesn't last long once the clear coating is compromised.

Besides, ebay cheapos are around $70 shipped. Seal the lens to housing with some black rtv before install and you will have no issues. I had my first pair for 2 years and still looked perfect. Only replaced them to do a retrofit and now I have these.

how hard was it to realign the lights when you replaced them? should you have to realign?

looking at replacing mine, the stock ones look like they are spider cracked from the inside..... no buffing that out.
