I have a Canadian truck, I popped the fuse out of the box under the hood and leave my lights in auto. Everything else works fine.

No it won't. Not for mine anyways. Pulled the drl relay from the panel under the hood and viola. No drl's. Headlights work fine just have to turn them on. I have hids as well.

E brake won't turn mine off parked or driving. Nothing would turn them off unless the truck was actually turned off

Park brake is not connected to the DRLs on these trucks, why Ford choose to do this who knows.I pulled both DRL relays under the hood last year and no problems, most guys around here do the same on there F-150s.Simple and no messing with splicing wires.

normally:light switch at the off position: engine off...parking brake.. start engine.. light should stay off.

didn't tried it on mine but normally if the headlight don't shut by just putting the parking brake: that's the way.

I use my ebrake on my 05 F-150 all of the time... there is definitely not DRL cutoff. I've even looked at the wiring diagrams. Unless you have some special F150 then the ebrake doesn't cut it off.

I've added my own relay into the ebrake warning light wiring to cutoff my DRL's, but that was done by me (with an additional switch for my own control).

I installed hid's and pretty much had to get my drls turned off. You just pull out a relay in the fuse box under the hood. Works like a charm
