Default Want a dead pedal

I just brought a 2008 Supercrew Lariat and am very impressed with it so far. One of the few complaints I have is the lack of a dead pedal. Has anyone made one, found one on the aftermarket world or anything else? I'm considering using a 2x4 and screwing it into the floor if nothing else. I just want a place to rest my left foot when driving.

Thanks,
Rick

Well, I like ketchup on my scrambled eggs, and I hate ranch dressing. Why? Different wants for different folks.

I want a dead pedal. My previous ride ( a VW Passat) had one and I loved it. Maybe I'm just used to putting my foot up on it, but it seems like a comfortable way to drive.

I agree with you. I had one in my SVT focus and loved it. I've wanted one in my F150 since I bought it but haven't really seriously considered looking into it.

Yeah my previous vehocle was a Focus and it had one. Now that this truck doesn't I'm not use to it and cant seem to get my leg comfortable.
I stretch it out like there was still one there but gets sore after awhile.

The Sterling tractor trailer cab I drive has one. I use it all the time. It's the angle your foot needs to be to be comfotable.

Try a junk yard...maybe you can retro fit one out of a VW or something.

Maybe its just that im young, but my leg doesn't really get tired. If it does I put it between the door panel and kick panel.

How tall are you? (no offense) I'm 6'3" and glad there's not a dead pedal, also glad there's nothing up underneath the dash so I can really stretch my legs out.

I'm 5'10" on a good day. That may have something to do with it.
